Süper Lig: Paul Onuachu Wins August Goal Of The Month

Trabzonspor forward Paul Onuachu has won the Süper Lig August goal of the month award with his sublime strike against Samsunspor on match-week 4 earning him the honor.

The Nigerian striker was presented with his award by the Turkish club’s Vice President Zeyyat Kafkas before the game against Kayserispor which then went on to win 4-0.

At 30 years old, the lanky forward has made an impressive start to the season with Trabzonspor since joining in the summer, finding the net six times in just eight outings.

His consistency in front of goal has propelled him to the top of the Turkish Super Lig scoring charts, where he holds a slender advantage over Galatasaray’s Mauro Icardi, who trails by a single strike.

Onachu could win the award again in September with his goal in Trabzonspor’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Karagumruk last week also nominated for September goal of the month.

Currently second on the log, Trabzonspor are hopeful of a league conquest this season.
