Ligue 1: Terem Moffi Scores As OGC Nice Record First Win

Terem Moffi is quickly finding back his form post injury with the Nigerian striker coming off the bench to score as OGC Nice pick first win of the 2025/26 French Ligue 1 campaign.

Leading 2-1 at halftime with Auxerre reduced to ten men after their goalkeeper was sent off for a late tackle on Jansson, Le Gym came into the second half with an advantage, although there wasn’t much intensity as seen in the first half.

In the 72nd minute, Franck Haise made some changes with fellow countryman Kevin Carlos making way for Moffi, just after coming onto the pitch, Moffi found the net from Louchet’s perfectly delivered lobbed cross to the Nigerian striker who headed the ball in at the far post, four minutes into his introduction.

Terem Moffi nearly scored again, his left-footed shot in the box hit the crossbar in the dying minutes as Nice ran out eventual winners.

Meanwhile, Moffi has been called up by Eric Chelle ahead of the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.
