“I am proud to start this new adventure with this wonderful club. I thank you for the trust and the opportunity. I will give my all on the field for these colors. I can’t wait to get started!”
His career took a significant step forward in 2022 when he signed with Stabæk, a team competing in Norway’s second division. He made his league debut on May 26 that year and quickly made an impact.
In his debut season, Orban scored 16 goals and contributed 7 assists, playing a crucial role in Stabæk’s promotion to the Eliteserien.
His outstanding performance earned him the title of OBOS-ligaen top scorer, along with the Young Player of the Season award.
In January 2023, Orban transferred to Belgian side Gent, where he continued his impressive form.
He debuted in the Belgian Pro League on February 11, scoring twice in a 3-3 draw against Westerlo.
Soon after, he netted his first European goal in the Conference League play-off return leg against Qarabag.
That same season, he set two remarkable records: he became the highest-scoring debutant in the Pro League with seven goals in just five matches, and he made history by recording the fastest hat-trick ever in UEFA competition—scoring three goals in under four minutes against Istanbul Başakşehir.
He concluded the season with 20 goals and 2 assists in 22 appearances for Gent.
Orban’s rising trajectory continued in 2024 with a move to French club Olympique Lyon, where he scored five goals across Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France.
Later in the season, he joined Bundesliga side Hoffenheim for the second half of the campaign, adding four goals in 13 appearances to his growing résumé until his exit.
