
FIFA U20 WWCQ – Players and officials of Nigeria’s U-20 Women’s National Team, the Falconets, have officially resumed camp in Abuja as preparations ramp up for the final round of qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Several invited players reported to camp on Monday, 6th April 2026, with training sessions commencing the following day.
The team has begun an intensive schedule focused on fitness, tactical cohesion, and match readiness, while the technical staff await the arrival of the remaining squad members.
During the opening session, Head Coach Moses Aduku addressed the players, urging them to stay focused, disciplined, and fully committed. He stressed teamwork, determination, and concentration as the Falconets prepare to face a determined Malawian side.
The players have expressed confidence and readiness as the technical crew continues fine-tuning their preparation.
Malawi reached the final qualifying round after edging past Guinea-Bissau in their previous fixture. The Falconets will host the first leg in Nigeria on Saturday, 2nd May, with the return leg scheduled a week later in Malawi.
Africa will send four representatives to the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, set to take place in Poland from 5th to 26th September 2026.
