Prosper Obah Joins Shakhtar Donetsk in Undisclosed Deal

Prosper Obah, 22-year-old Nigerian winger has completed a permanent moved to Shakhtar Donetsk from LNZ Cherkasy for an undisclosed fee.

Since joining LNZ Cherkasy, the Supreme Kings product has played 15 Ukrainian Premier League matches this season, scoring 7 goals and providing 4 assists with just a goal in 2 Ukrainian Cup games before his eventual sit.

“I feel great. It’s a big step for me, so I’m very happy! Good feelings”, Prosper stated in his first interview with the club after signing his contract.

“Of course, I was pleasantly surprised. Shakhtar is a big club, so when I found out about the interest, I was a bit surprised.”

On his qualities; “My strongest qualities are speed, strength and shooting. And I play in all three attacking positions: left, right and centre forward.

“I hope to help the club win titles – in Europe and the Ukrainian Championship. And I want to personally contribute to the team with my decisive actions”, he added.

The Miners’ contract with the player will run until December 31, 2030 as officially revealed by the club.
