Victor Osimhen has praised former side, Lille OSC, despite Galatasaray’s 4-2 win in the UEFA Champions League yesterday, stating that the Ligue 1 side delivered a performance they should be proud of as he made a triumphant return to the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in France.
The Nigerian striker who was on the scoresheet as the Lions secured their first three points away in France saw a foul on him overturned, he was brought down inside the penalty area and although the Slovenian referee pointed to the penalty spot, VAR made the opposite decision.
“I love this stadium. The fans are incredible. We had a tough match. I’m very happy for our team, we won. I also wish Lille good luck in their next matches. Lille players are very tough. They even took the lead. We managed to win the match together as a team. I’m happy we got the three points.”
