Ismaheel Taofeek Delivers First Career Silverware

Ismaheel Taofeek has eventually won his first career silverware since breaking onto the European scene.

The 25 year old winger was a second half substitute as Lech Poznan secured a 3-1 away win at Radomiak Radom to clinch the Ekstraklasa title.

After having featured for five different teams across three countries, the Super Eagles prospect has finally won his first silverware with his sixth team.

Signed from fellow Ekstraklasa side Gornik Zabrze at the start of the season, Ismaheel immediately settled into the Lech team and went on to shine like a million stars in the colours of the champions.

His eight goals and assists across the domestic and European scene were instrumental for the Kolejors as they confirmed the successful defence of their title.

Recalled, the former SK Beveren of Belgium singer said after his first victory with Lech that he hoped to win his first major trophy with the team.

Few months down the line, he has contributed to delivering Lech Poznan’s tenth Ekstraklasa title.

Despite being on loan, Ismaheel has formed a beautiful chemistry with the fans of the club who cheer with great applause every time he goes somersaulting after his goals.
