
Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench once again to fire Celtic past Motherwell on Wednesday.
With just one game of the season remaining, Kelechi Iheanacho has revived the hopes of Celtic in the title chase.
The Glasgow giants were looking down and out against Motherwell until the introduction of the Nigerian.
It looked like game over for Celtic in the title race when Liam Gordon equalized in the 85th minute for the home side.
However, for the fourth time this season, the Super Eagles forward stepped up to win it for Celtic from the bench.
After a penalty was awarded to the reigning champions in stoppage time, the 29 year old stepped up to bury inside the net to revive his club’s title hopes.
Celtic are on course for a fifth consecutive Scottish Premier League title and will now go up against leaders Hearts in what will be a winner takes all finale to the season.
Martin O’Neill’s men trail by one point going into the game and will need a win to confirm their 56th title. A feat that’ll take them one better than fierce rivals Rangers.
Recall Kelechi Iheanacho was a last minute addition by the club last summer after his spell with Sevilla ended.
