Warri Wolves Issue Statement On Travel Difficulty To Maiduguri

The management of Warri Wolves Football Club have issued an official statement on the travel difficulty faced by their team en route to Maiduguri.

The Warri Wolves contingent suffered a series of stops on their way to Maiduguri where they honoured an NPFL fixture.

The Seasiders spent a total of 72hours in their journey to the Borno State capital for their NPFL match day 5 encounter.

Following the 1-0 loss, the management of the team have issued an official statement condemning the difficulties faced and promising to avoid such occurrence in the future.

“The management of Warri Wolves FC wishes to extend a sincere apology to our staff, players, fans, and partners regarding the challenges experienced during our recent trip to Maiduguri for our NPFL26 Matchday 5 fixture.

“Our team vehicle unfortunately developed a fault along the way, resulting in significant discomfort and delays for our players, staff and traveling supporters.

We deeply regret the difficulties this caused and take full responsibility for the inconvenience.

“As a professional football club, we are passionate about the welfare of our staff and players. Even as we are also committed to providing a safe and reliable travel experience for everyone associated with us.

“This we as a club in sync with the Delta State Sports Commission have already begun working on sustainable solutions to prevent a recurrence in the future.

We remain grateful for the understanding and continued support of our staff, players, fans and partners as we push forward together this season.”
