“I am delighted to sign for Nottingham Forest. It’s an ambitious club and I’m excited to be a part of this team,” a delighted Omewa stated after signing her contract.
“I can’t wait to get started for this club and I think I can add a lot to an already talented group at Forest.”
The former Confluence Queens striker netted more than 50 goals during a five-year spell with Fortuna Hjørring, helping the club secure two Danish Women’s Cup titles and the Kvindeligaen championship in the 2024/25 season.
Her outstanding performances during that league-and-cup double-winning campaign were recognised with the Kvindeligaen Player of the Season award.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Joy Omewa to Nottingham Forest,” Nottingham Forest Women head coach, Carly Davies stated.
“Joy’s incredible goal-scoring prowess speaks for itself. She’s a dynamic forward with a natural instinct in front of goal, and her ability to find the net consistently at both club and international level makes her a fantastic addition to our squad.
“Joy is exactly the type of player who can help us push forward and achieve our ambitions.”
She is expected to make her debut in the WSL 2 clash against Birmingham City Women, scheduled for February 1 at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park.
