Udinese Calcio head coach Kosta Runjaic has urged fans patience, giving his vote of confidence to Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye amidst the Serie A club recent struggles.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of tomorrow’s match against Parma, the Croatian gaffer admitted that the team alongside the technical staff are working on keeping mistakes at a minimum.
“The goal is to work on the mistakes and not make any more. We have several new players, several young players, and several who haven’t played as much. These are details that can be decisive.
“For example, Okoye hasn’t played for weeks; against Bologna, he took unnecessary risks, and we lost 2-0, which ended the match. We’re working hard. It takes time, it’s a growth process.
“It takes time to see the players express their full potential. For a team like Udinese, it’s important to know how to deal with negative moments. I’m in no rush. Let’s keep what we’ve done well and fix the rest.”
Currently 10th on the log, Udinese would be hoping to move further up when they face Parma today at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
