Daniel Maldini has chosen Lazio as his next destination after an uninspiring stint in Bergamo.
Daniel Maldini, son of Milan and Italian football legend Paolo Maldini has agreed to join SS Lazio, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The 24 year old leaves Atalanta after just a year at the Bergamo club following his permanent move from Monza in February, 2025.
After a return of three goals in twenty two games for La Dea, Daniel Maldini has decided to leave his nightmares in Bergamo and move to the capital.
He joins Maurizio Sarri’s side on an initial loan deal with an option to make the move permanent at a fixed fee of €14m.
Medical examinations are expected to follow once documents are exchanged between both clubs.
Since first breaking into AC Milan’s senior ranks in 2020, Maldini is now on the verge of his fifth club after his emergence.
His time at Monza remains his most memorable, scoring seven goals overall for the now relegated side. A return that earned him a move to the then Gian Piero Gasperini led Atalanta.
He has made his debut for Gli Azzurri and already has six caps to his name, continuing the family’s Azzurri legacy.
