OGC Nice forward, Terem Moffi could be the potential replacement for Tammy Abraham who is close to joining Aston Villa from Besiktas in a proposed £18m deal.
While everything is in place for the England international to complete his move to the Premier League club, the Turkish side have already begun searching for a suitable replacement, with Terem Moffi emerging as a leading candidate on their shortlist as per NTV Spor.
The Nigerian striker is currently unsettled in France, largely due to an incident involving an attack by Nice supporters last year. The situation reportedly led the striker to apply to the league authorities for the termination of his contract.
Amid the uncertainty surrounding his future, Beşiktaş have been monitoring the player’s situation, although it is understood that the black-and-white club have yet to issue a definitive response on a potential move.
Meanwhile, Abraham is expected to finalize his move to Villa Park this week.
Abraham has been a priority target for head coach Unai Emery, who has been eager to add attacking depth to support Ollie Watkins particularly following Donyell Malen’s sale to Roma last week.
