Jannik Sinner and Carlos Arcaraz are set for another blockbuster Grand Slam final at the US Open on Sunday.
The top two ranked players booked their places in the final thanks to victories over Felix Auger Aliassime and Novak Djokovic respectively.
Carlos Alcaraz dispatched world number three Novak Djokovic 6-4, 7-6, 6-2 in straight sets to advance to the final without dropping a single set in the tournament.
Sinner then got his job done later, albeit with a scare as he fought past the Canadian semi finalist 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to book yet another final against his biggest rival.
Carlos Alcaraz matched a record on his way to the final as he became the first man since Roger Federer to not drop a single set en route to the US Open final.
Also, Jannik sinner with his victory became the fourth man in Open Era history to reach the finals of all four majors, joining Rod Laver, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in that exclusive list.
It is the 15th meeting between these two tennis masters with Alcaraz leading the head to head by nine wins to five.
The world number one is up for grabs on Sunday as the winner of the matchup leaves the tournament as the top ranked player in the world.
Alcaraz has won five Grand Slams to Sinner’s four, Sunday’s final will either tie that or extend it further.
