AFCON 2025: CAF Technical Study Group Unveils Star-studded XI

Following the ground breaking AFCON 2025 in Morocco, CAF Technical Study Group (TSG) have released a star studded XI featuring key performers as the Teranga Lions claimed a second title in three years.

 Finalists Morocco and eventual winners Senegal were the most represented, four players included in each side with Nigeria’s trio joining up to complete the team after an in-depth technical analysis conducted by the CAF TSG.

Metrics for selection includes a fully integrated evaluation model which was deployed throughout the competition to assess performance.

The process combined remote and on-site assessments, supported by live data platforms, multi-angle video feeds, and dedicated video analysts, ensuring a thorough, consistent, and objective review of performances across the tournament.
